Building the best electric drives for mobile applications was and still is the motivation behind our company. MOTEG was founded in 2014 by Dr. Siegfried Götz, an experienced e-motor specialist.

Electrical machines are our life, years of in-depth experience is our advantage. Exceeding your expectations is our aim.

A dedicated team of engineers develops and produces innovative electric drives with highest efficiency, lowest weight, smallest dimensions and lowest noise at reasonable costs. Aside from guaranteeing the highest product standards, our projects are designed to ensure  schedule efficiency and design-to-cost / target costing goals in strict compliance with agreed quality requirements.

MOTEG offers a fast-growing product portfolio. Our electric drives are currently used mainly for utility aggregates in two market segments: automotive & aviation.

We plan to expand our portfolio to include main drives in the near future. In addition to developing and manufacturing electric drives, MOTEG supports public transport companies in the introduction of e-mobility to their fleet, offering technical consultancy, feasibility studies and mobility concepts.

Funding & Certification

MOTEG is funded under the European Green Deal*, together with only four other companies in Germany (among 2,000 applicants). The European Green deal is a set of policy initiatives by the European Commission with the overarching aim of making Europe climate neutral by 2050.

Our activities in highly technical areas such as aviation and the automotive industry require a high level of quality and documentation in development and production.

Since its founding, MOTEG has adhered to the basic principles of  quality assurance in compliance with recognized standards and has maintained a strict program of continual improvement.

MOTEG is certified according to ISO 9001 and is one of the few electric drive manufacturer that is aviation certified (EN 9100).

With his long and varied experience in the automotive industry, Dr. Siegfried Götz has unique expertise in the development of electric drives and the required production processes.

Dr. Götz is a proven specialist in global upscaling of production processes. He founded the company in 2014.

He is responsible for business development at MOTEG.

  • Study of Technical Physics and Business Management
  • Certification as EOQ Quality Systems Manager
  • Worked for automotive and other international companies for over 20 years
